Phil Mickelson 2016 Form Guide
Phil Mickelson has an excellent record in major tournaments and he finally won the British Open in 2013. His Open record prior to that had been disappointing as he missed Turnberry in 2009 for domestic reasons and tied for 48th at St Andrews; but in 2011 he earned huge respect for his efforts as he tied for second behind Darren Clarke in tough conditions at Royal St George's. 'Lefty' built on those efforts though as he emerged victorious at Muirfield in 2013 to secure his fifth major title.
Mickelson has shown no signs of letting up in recent seasons and he has been admirably consistent again this year. He has finished in the top-five of several events in the USA and the bookies continue to treat this man for the big occasion with the utmost of respect.
